I'm Grace!I’m a former teacher, a mama of two, and the girl who left the classroom for a camera and never once looked back.
I grew up in South Georgia with deep roots, a love for all things Southern, and Dolly Parton playing on repeat. I went to school, became an elementary teacher, and genuinely loved my job. But then I had my daughter, and something in me changed. I picked up a camera to document her life the way I wanted it remembered, and that was it. I was hooked.
The decision to leave teaching did not happen overnight, but there was one morning that made it undeniable. I was driving to school, Dolly was on the radio singing about chasing big dreams, and I just knew. I walked in that day and put in my notice. It was the scariest thing I had ever done, and also the most right. God had been preparing me for this all along, and I am so grateful I listened.
What I know now is that my years in the classroom were not wasted. They taught me patience, how to read a room, how to connect with people quickly, and how to find the magic in ordinary moments. Those are the same things that make me good at this. I understand what you want from these photos because I am right there with you, a mama who knows exactly how fast it all goes and how much it matters to slow down and capture it.

When I'm Not Behind the Camera
You will find me on our farm in the North Georgia mountains, probably in the garden with my hydrangeas or sitting on our wraparound front porch watching the kids run around. We have chickens, a horse, and a family that runs on fresh air and slow mornings. We are annual Dollywood passholders and proud of it. Life out here has a way of reminding me what matters most, and honestly, it makes me a better photographer. When you slow down enough to notice the small things, you never miss the ones worth keeping.
